“Mind over matter” sounds simple in theory, but real-life challenges are often more complex. I’m here to help you navigate the unexpected and develop the tools and confidence needed to move toward change. Hello, my name is Morgan Potter, and I am so happy you’re here! Seeking mental health services takes a great deal of courage, so I congratulate you on taking the first big step. Throughout your experience, you can count on me for support.
I specialize in helping adolescents and young and middle-aged adults navigate depression, anxiety, life transitions, school and work challenges, self-esteem, sleep difficulties, family challenges, and sports pressures. I’m committed to helping you feel in control of your life or assisting your child in finding a safe space to heal. I have worked with the adolescent population for about five years and consider it my sweet spot, but I advocate for all ages equally and love meeting individuals where they are. I am passionate about helping adolescents develop confidence in their voice, build effective skills, and successfully manage life's transitions. I also believe that involving families, when appropriate, can be an important part of the process and can help promote positive change.
My experience includes work with various populations in a multitude of settings, including children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, familial difficulties, grief, sports pressures, sleep issues, anger, and more. My realistic, simple, evidence-based approach prioritizes straightforward conversations grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while incorporating trauma-informed care. My person-centered focus ensures that each interaction is directly suited to your needs. Collaboratively, we can create goals to bring you peace and comfort. Whether your concerns feel significant, minor, or somewhere in between, I’m glad you’ve chosen to seek support. There is no standard measure for what you may be experiencing, and throughout our work together, you can expect to be heard, understood, and treated with respect. Welcome!
