OFFICE POLICIES
Insurance and Billing
New Beginnings Counseling will bill your insurance as a courtesy to you for any services rendered. We do not provide clients with any details of the insurance policy including deductible, copay, or coinsurance information. Clients are responsible for knowing their policy and contacting their insurance company to find out what the patient’s responsibility will be.
It is the client’s responsibility to notify their therapist or the Accounting Department (a copy can be sent directly to [email protected]) of any changes to insurance immediately. Failure to do so may result in the client being financially responsible for the full fee for the services rendered.
Client Financial Policy
All clients are required to keep an HSA, FSA, credit card or debit card on file in our secure processing system. New Beginnings Counseling will process payment for outstanding balances upon receipt of the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from the insurance company. If the payment declines, a new form of payment will be required to continue services. Clients will receive an electronic receipt via email when the patient responsibility payment is processed.
Self-pay and missed appointment fees will be processed within 48 business hours. Clients will receive a receipt via email.
If there is a balance over $200.00 that is unable to be collected, services will be placed on hold until the balance is resolved, and an updated form of payment is added for future payments. Outstanding balances beyond 90 days will be referred to collections and the associated collections fees will be the responsibility of the client and added to the balance.
