Life does not always work out the way you hoped or expected. When this this happens, you may experience a range of emotions… disappointment, anger, depression and even grief. Would you like to move past these painful feelings? As real healing encompasses the whole person, mind, body and spirit, I will work to accompany you on your journey towards wholeness. I offer a gentle, non-judgmental, calming approach where you will feel safe and accepted.
I began my career working with adolescents and adults in an inpatient mental health facility. Later, I transitioned into supporting individuals who have experienced emotional, physical and sexual violence. Most recently, I worked several years in hospice care, serving individuals, families and caregivers affected by terminal illness.
These experiences allowed me to work with individuals of all ages but work best with young adults to seniors. I have an interest in working with persons experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver burnout, chronic or terminal illness and trauma. I work from an eclectic approach utilizing a multitude of therapeutic methods, including a person-centered focus along with cognitive and dialectal behavioral therapy, mindfulness and have a special interest in healing trauma through somatic techniques.
Therapy is not always easy and can bring up thoughts and feelings you’d rather ignore, but I will hold a space for you to be emotionally safe and seen. Our bodies and brains are capable of amazing change, and it would be my privilege to be invited into this process.
