I started my career in social work helping older adults and caregivers navigate life transitions, loss, and health issues. After working in that field for several years, I transitioned to working with infants and young children where I grew in my knowledge of child care and development. One of my favorite trainings from this period was Circle Of Security. It was so impactful as a parent and it continues to inform my work as a therapist in helping parents connect and meet their child’s emotional needs. I have also volunteered in my community over the years mentoring pregnant women and mothers and serving children who have been in foster care. Currently, I work with a wide variety of individuals using a holistic approach to meet their needs.
As a therapist, my goal is to meet you in your most vulnerable moments with compassion and confidence in your healing journey. We all learn and work through our challenges in different ways. I am here to help identify your goals, build upon your strengths, and utilize the therapeutic approach that works best for you. I use a variety of therapeutic methods to meet the needs of clients but I especially enjoy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
